Vlf Receiver Parts List
-
This build worked for me and my location. No guarantees it will work everywhere/for everyone.
Having an antenna and ground is crucial. Mine is 100’ of insulated copper wire, but you can use different types. At the end of the build series, I’ll try at least one other type of antenna to see what else works. You’ll also need a ground (mine is rebar stuck into the earth, but copper would be better). Some people take their receiver away from the city and get better results. Look up temporary long wire antenna for ideas.
You’ll also need a wire running from the ground that you can connect to a jumper, then to the breadboard (the antenna will also connect to a jumper and to your breadboard).
If you get ideas or have something work better for you, drop it in the comments!
